Job summary

Sweet Treets Bakery in Austin, TX is hiring a hands-on Bakery Production Assistant to support daily production of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and desserts. You will prepare batters, frostings, fillings, bake, stack, wrap, and finish products in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, cares about consistent quality, and can work early mornings with a small team. Reports to Kitchen Manager / Owner; full-time with PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen, bakery, or food production experience preferred.
• Comfortable following recipes and batch instructions precisely.
• Able to work early morning hours.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a small team.
• Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Frostings & Fillings: Prepare batches of buttercream, colored buttercreams, cream cheese frosting, royal icing, jams; follow recipes and batch instructions.
• Cookies: Bake cookies each morning, prep dough, scoop and portion dough, maintain size, quality, and bake times.
• Cakes & Cupcakes: Prepare batters, bake and prep cupcakes, prepare cake jars, stack and wrap cakes, assist with production.
