Job summary

Magnolia Bakery is seeking a Prep Cook/Baker’s Assistant in New York to build the foundation for our desserts by preparing ingredients, icings, fillings, and other essential components according to our recipes and quality standards.

This hands-on, fast-paced role requires staying organized, supporting a team, and taking pride in doing things the right way. You will assist Bakers, Porters, and Cake Icers and contribute to a kitchen culture that delivers consistent quality to guests.

• Ability to follow recipes, measurements, procedures, and production instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, icings, fillings, and other components according to Magnolia Bakery recipes and quality standards.
• Assemble, measure, weigh, portion, prepare, and label ingredients per recipes and guidelines.
• Stock prep area with ingredients and supplies for the shift.
• Monitor inventory levels of icings, fillings, ingredients, and prep supplies.
• Communicate production progress to Production Manager/Floor Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and production-ready prep area.
