Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to help create a welcoming store experience across Fresh departments. You will stock, rotate, and merchandise while engaging customers and sharing product knowledge.

The role involves lifting, standing, and working across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery to keep shelves full and displays attractive. Ideal candidates emphasize safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with a friendly, customer-first mindset and the ability to learn job-specific tech.

Responsibilities

• Weekend availability needed 20-32 hours per week.
• Breaks down bakery frozen load and prepares donuts daily.
• Position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Every shift, your work helps keep our store running smoothly and our customers coming back.
