Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a hands-on Bakery Manager in Triadelphia, WV to lead daily bakery operations, drive guest satisfaction, and deliver strong financial results.

You will coach the team, uphold brand standards, ensure food safety, and manage labor and costs while building relationships with guests and the local community. This role requires weekend and holiday availability.

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and results-driven Bakery Manager to lead our bakery team! The Bakery Manager is responsible for the overall success of the bakery, including team leadership, guest experience, sales, labor, product quality, food safety, and operational execution.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, develops people, builds a strong team culture, and understands that great results come from consistently executing the fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop the bakery team to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Create a positive, respectful, and engaging team environment.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train team members as needed.
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to company and brand standards.
• Conduct regular coaching conversations and provide meaningful feedback and recognition.
• Develop future leaders and identify opportunities for team members to grow.
• Lead effective pre-shift huddles to communicate daily goals, priorities, and business updates.
• Build a culture where team members feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives an exceptional and memorable experience.
• Lead the team in creating a welcoming environment and consistently demonstrating genuine hospitality.
• Monitor guest feedback and OSAT results and create action plans to improve performance.
• Resolve guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Drive Bundtastic Rewards enrollment and other guest engagement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to wow guests and build lasting relationships within the community.

Bakery Operations

• Own the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the bakery.
• Ensure all products consistently meet Nothing Bundt Cakes quality, presentation, and freshness standards.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ensure proper ROX labeling, FIFO, product rotation, and storage procedures are followed.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained on operational procedures and brand standards.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, waste, and product availability.
• Ensure bakery equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
• Complete required operational tasks, audits, and reporting accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with all company, health department, and food safety requirements.

Sales & Financial Performance

• Take ownership of bakery sales and profitability.
• Review sales performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
• Drive sales through exceptional guest service, upselling, catering, fundraising, events, and outside sales.
• Manage labor proactively based on sales trends and business needs.
• Monitor labor throughout the day and make adjustments when appropriate.
• Manage COGS, waste, inventory, and controllable expenses.
• Set clear sales and labor goals for the team and communicate performance regularly.
• Build relationships within the local community to generate additional sales opportunities.

Community & Outside Sales

• Build strong relationships with local businesses, schools, organizations, and community partners.
• Identify and pursue catering, fundraising, corporate gifting, and other outside sales opportunities.
• Lead the bakery's local marketing and community engagement efforts.
• Ensure the bakery consistently looks for ways to grow its customer base and revenue.
