Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets in Northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Bakery Night Clerk to support the bakery team. You will greet customers, maintain product displays with proper rotation, wrap breads and pastries, and take orders with courteous phone etiquette, while upholding our customer service pledge.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and following all safety policies, dress codes, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Able to lift, bend, and twist up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken word.
• Strong reading/writing skills in English.
• Must stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Vision: close, distant, color vision, focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in the bakery sales area.
• Maintain products with proper rotation.
• Wrap all products as designated.
• Knowledge of bakery preparations and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at work areas.
• Bag and package bread, pies, cakes, etc.
• Take orders with proper phone etiquette.
• Stock and rotate freezer as required.
• Be present at start of shift.
• Adhere to safety policies and dress code.
• Attend to policies in Employee Handbook.
