Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets Bakery in Spokane, WA is seeking a friendly, reliable baker who welcomes customers, stocks the bakery area, and helps maintain high quality baking ingredients and displays. You must be 18+, pass a pre-employment background check, have at least one year of baking experience, and be able to obtain a Food Workers Card.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers entering or leaving the bakery.
• Answer questions, locate items, and make recommendations.
• Stock, display, and maintain clean, sanitized baking tools.
• Develop promotional ideas to attract customers.
• Train team to produce high-quality items following food handling procedures.
• Ensure quality and aesthetics of bakery items.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Perform other duties to support the bakery and store.

If you are hired, you will...

• Welcome and greet customers when entering or leaving the bakery department.
• Answer customer questions, help locate items, and provide recommendations.
• Ensure that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Develop and implement advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Train the team to produce high-quality bakery items while following proper food handling procedures.
• Strategically arrange bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases.
• Inspect bakery items to ensure that established standards on quality and aesthetic appeal are met.
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.

Requirements

A few things you’ll need…

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check
• Must have minimum experience of one year as a baker.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Workers Card in your state.
• Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.
