Lowes Foods in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Bakery Department Supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising, and daily operations in the bakery.

You will lead staff, manage inventory and scheduling, ensure product quality and safety, and help achieve sales and profitability targets while maintaining Lowes Foods standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a bakery department and follow standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform PA announcements.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
