Job Summary
Nothing Bundt Cakes Murfreesboro is hiring a Bakery Manager to lead the team and manage day‑to‑day operations, guest experience, cake production, brand presentation, P&L management and inventory control. The role drives sales and profitability while ensuring the highest‑quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment and superior service. Bakery hours are Monday–Saturday 9am–7pm, Sunday 10am–4pm.

Job Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Prioritize guest experience, model engagement and foster a positive environment.
- Recruit, select and train talent, clearly communicate expectations and provide continuous coaching.
- Engage regularly with team members to monitor workload, address challenges and course‑correct.
- Provide coaching, conduct quarterly reviews and address performance issues promptly.
- Define Assistant Manager role and assign responsibilities.
- Identify future leaders and cross‑train to build capabilities and ensure coverage.
- Maintain hands‑on knowledge of all bakery roles and perform tasks as needed.
Business Operations
- Facilitate opening and closing, balance cash drawer and complete bank deposits.
- Manage special‑order fulfillment via web, email and corporate accounts.
- Create and communicate weekly sales goals, production plan, team schedule and adjust coverage.
- Set inventory par levels, monitor stock, process orders and conduct monthly inventory.
- Ensure product, service, environment and merchandising meet brand standards and health safety regulations.
- Manage controllable expenses—labor, COGS, maintenance and supplies—to maximize profitability.
- Perform administrative functions: payroll, sales, labor and inventory reporting, basic accounting.
Local Marketing
- Lead community outreach to increase brand visibility and participate in events aligning with the brand.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of leadership experience managing teams, business operations and guest experience in retail, hospitality or foodservice industries.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, developing teams, creating superior service environment and achieving financial objectives.
- Experience creating productivity goals, inventory par levels, team schedules and managing costs.
- Foodservice safety training certificate (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable learning new technologies.
Work Availability
Must have flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business demands.
