Job summary

Sam's Club in Ames, IA is seeking a Bakery Department Lead to drive sales, supervise hourly associates, and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Bakery and collaborate with other leaders to meet the total club expectations.

You will lead the team, maintain standards for quality, safety, inventory, and training, and use digital tools to plan, execute, and improve daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in bakery production or supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete trainings and assessments if selected.

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery team to deliver on the business plan and meet members' expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of product, quality, inventory, safety, and compliance.
• Leverage digital tools to plan, drive sales, and improve the shopping experience.
• Ensure a neat, safe work area and accurate inventory in the bakery department.
• Train and mentor team members, identify development needs, and recruit when needed.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to meet store goals and standards.
