Job summary

Lee’s Marketplace is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in the Bakery Department, learning product offerings and ensuring quality while engaging guests in person, over the phone, or online. You will help with production, display, stocking, and maintaining inventory to deliver a great guest experience.

We value teamwork, safety, and excellent service. A Food Handler’s Permit is required or obtainable after being hired; candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in retail or guest service preferred.
• Previous specialty cheese experience preferred.
• Drive and reliability are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production, development, preparation, and maintenance of Bakery items.
• Stock shelves and maintain displays to store standards.
• Educate customers about bakery products and services.
• Maintain accurate food inventories and ensure product freshness.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately (if applicable).
• Contribute to a friendly, fast-paced guest experience and teamwork.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies.
