Job summary

Lowes Foods on Johns Island is seeking a dedicated bakery teammate to provide excellent guest service and support bakery operations. You will assist with baking, weighing, and pricing, while ensuring product freshness and proper sanitation throughout the store aisles and bakery area.

This role emphasizes friendly guest interactions, teamwork with colleagues, and adherence to store standards, with opportunities to cross-train in front-end duties and promotions.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and good guest service mindset.
• Ability to lift 25 lb consistently and 50 lb occasionally.
• Able to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication and selling skills.
• Age 18 or older.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform clerk function of cake decorating.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keeps supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front end duties to insure 'no noticeable wait' standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
