Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a Bakery Dispatcher to keep display cases stocked with breads, pastries, and cakes and to support the bakery team in cleanliness, safety, and service standards. You will help create an inviting shopping experience while coordinating inventory and labeling in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: greet customers, assist bakery and cake orders in-store and by phone.
• Merchandising: stock, rotate, and keep bakery displays appealing.
• Product Preparation: prepare doughs, batters, and mixtures; weigh and price items.
• Food safety & sanitation: follow safety program and cleanliness standards.
• Team Support: assist coworkers and communicate inventory needs.
• Operations: move products, stock shelves, monitor signs and freshness.
• Compliance: follow weights, measures, labeling and company rules.
• Other duties: perform additional tasks as needed.

About the Role

The Bakery Dispatcher ensures bakery display cases are fully stocked with a variety of breads, pastries, desserts, and cakes. This role supports the bakery team bymaintainingcleanliness,assistingcustomers, and following Vallarta’s standards for quality, food safety, and service. The Bakery Dispatcher plays a keypartin creating an inviting shopping experience while keeping the department organized, safe, and efficient.

WhatYou’llDo

• Customer Service: Smile, greet, andassistcustomers with bakery and cake orders, both in-store and by phone.
• Merchandising:Merchandise, rotate, and stock products to keep bakery cases fresh and appealing.
• Product Preparation: Prepare doughs, batters, and mixtures for breads, cakes, and pastries as directed. Pack, weigh, and price merchandise accurately according to company policy.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow Vallarta’s Bakery Safety Program and health code regulations. Clean equipment, counters, and floors tomaintaina sanitary work area.
• Team Support:Assistcoworkers, train when needed, andmaintainopen communication with bakery managementregardinginventory needs.
• Operations: Transport bakery products to and from storage areas, stock shelves, andmonitorproduct signage and freshness.
• Compliance: Follow company rules, safety guidelines,weightsandmeasureslaws, and ensure labeling accuracy.
• Other Duties: Performadditionaltasks asassigned to support bakery operations.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk forlong periods(6–8 hours/day).
• Frequently bend neck/waist, squat, twist, and reach above/below shoulders.
• Frequent grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine hand manipulation.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.frequentlyand up to 50 lbs. occasionally (e.g., flour, sugar, boxes).
• Work near bakery equipment and in environments with varying temperatures and humidity.
• May berequiredto perform tasks at elevated levels (placing or retrieving items).
