Market 32/Price Chopper in New York is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to join our leadership team in the Bakery Department. You will work with the Bakery Manager to support daily operations, lead the bakery team, and uphold quality, freshness, and customer service standards.

Ideal candidates have bakery or retail experience and a passion for teamwork, with readiness to grow into a higher leadership role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support others.
• Strong follow-through in achieving results and objectives
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6–12 months of related bakery or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager with day-to-day operation of the department.
• Oversee department operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
• Train and develop Bakery associates to meet performance standards.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Maintain neat, clean, and organized department workspace.
• Assist with product preparation, baking, and presentation.
• Provide fast, friendly service and assist customers with questions.
• Support merchandising and inventory management to control shrink.
