Responsibilities include using bakery equipment, offering samples, informing customers about specials, keeping correct temperatures and logs, labeling and shelving merchandise, and working with the team to meet sales and quality

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
Offer product samples to help customers discover items or products they inquire about.
Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
Prepare foods according to logs and cooking instructions.
Measure and mix ingredients using various utensils.
Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients.
Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
