Job summary

Harps is seeking a Bakery/Deli Clerk to support department operations, merchandising, and fresh food prep while upholding safety and quality standards. You will build relationships with customers, maintain displays, assist with price checks, and follow Harps' policies to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role requires friendly service, reliability, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
No previous work experience required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Adaptable to shifting priorities and rapid change.
Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds.
Stands and walks continuously during shift.
Exposure to varied weather and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

Bakery/Deli Department Operations: staffing, price maintenance, inventory prep, cleanliness, safety of equipment.
Replenishment and Inventory: ordering, receiving, invoicing, back stock, returns, and damages.
Merchandising and Sales Floor: proper stocking, displays, signing, and zoning procedures.
Fresh Food Preparation: maintain food safety standards and counters.
Customer service focus and relationship building with customers.
Uphold Harps’ mission of value, quality, freshness, and friendly service.
