Responsibilities

• Engage peers to deliver the best possible shopping experience and checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high-potential staff.
• Help write department schedules to boost engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policy adherence.
• Guide the team on food safety and safe work practices.
• Lead processes for ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displays.
• Foster a diverse, inclusive Meijer culture and teamwork.
• Operate registers and cash handling when required.
