Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Bakery/Deli Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience in the Kroger Indianapolis store. You will prepare bakery items to order, offer samples, inform customers of specials, and ensure products are fresh and properly portioned.

You will maintain clean, safe store conditions, follow food safety regulations, and assist the department manager in achieving sales goals. Experience in bakery/deli or retail is helpful, and strong customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Bakery/Deli Clerk should offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and maintain product quality and freshness.
• Provide customers with fresh products that match orders and maintain portion sizes.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and ensure proper temperatures are maintained.
