Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and recipes.
• Measure and mix ingredients with appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Label and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and manage sell-by dates accordingly.
• Use kitchen equipment safely (stove, scales, fryer, steamer, robot coupe).
• Stock and label department merchandise; report discrepancies.
• Know store layout to locate products on request.
• Stay updated on ads and promotions.
• Maintain product knowledge and answer customer questions.
• Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and logs are maintained.
• Promote trust and respect among associates; create welcoming environment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
