Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and maintain product freshness.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customers' needs and preferences.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to recipes and temperature logs; follow cooking instructions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; ensure proper temperatures in cases and logs.
• Respect store layout and be able to locate products; stay current with ads and promotions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions or suggestions.
