Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portion sizes.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Follow temperature logs and cooking instructions when preparing foods.
• Measure and mix ingredients following recipes and using kitchen utensils.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Ensure product quality, review sell-by dates, and take action as needed.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
