Job summary

Kroger operates Fred Meyer stores in Oregon and is seeking a Grocery Clerk in the Bakery/Deli department. You will fulfill customer requests, prepare items per recipes, handle samples, and promote bakery and deli specials while ensuring freshness and portion accuracy.

You will maintain food safety logs, use bakery equipment, and assist in inventory, pricing, and store cleanliness to create an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer samples to help customers discover items or products.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portions to minimize shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients using utensils and equipment.
• Label and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
