Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend products to customers to ensure satisfaction and meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes, using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Maintain store layout knowledge to assist customers efficiently.
• Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain logs for cases and coolers.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
• Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
