Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods per instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
10. Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates.
11. Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, etc.
12. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
13. Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
14. Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
15. Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
16. Maintain inventory and stock conditions, noting discrepancies.
17. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
18. Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
19. Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
20. Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting repairs as needed.
21. Report any customer or employee accidents to management.
22. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
23. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
24. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
25. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
26. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
27. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
