Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations, maintain temperature logs, and ensure product quality.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise accurately.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Assist customers in locating products and respond to inquiries about products sold within the department.
• Maintain inventory and stock conditions, and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report accidents.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
