Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products ordered in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Using bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
- Preparing foods following food safety and temperature logs.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and merchandise.
- Checking product quality and reviewing expiration dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understanding store layout to assist customers efficiently.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
- Maintaining inventory and stock conditions.
- Ensuring proper storage temperatures and logging.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Practicing preventive maintenance and reporting equipment issues.
