Job Description:

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
5. Recommend deli or bakery items to customers.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
9. Label, stock, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
11. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
12. Promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment for customers.
13. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
14. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
15. Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational manner.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
17. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
