Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to customers to promote new or inquired-about items.
• Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety and temperature logs, and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes.
• Label, package, and inventory ingredients and products.
• Check product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates.
• Maintain store layout knowledge and locate products for customers.
• Stay updated on current promotions and product knowledge.
• Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and accidents.
• Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity, following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
• Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
