Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products as ordered, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Operate bakery equipment like refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
- Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take necessary actions.
- Use kitchen equipment properly, including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, and robots.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal ads.
- Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
- Monitor inventory levels and conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
- Foster trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and engaging positively.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
