Minimum Position Qualifications:

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide fresh products matching customer orders and portion sizes to minimize shrink.
5. Recommend bakery and deli items to customers.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety protocols, including temperature logs and cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Ensure product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates.
11. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
12. Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise.
13. Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
14. Know store layout to assist customers efficiently.
15. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions.
16. Maintain product knowledge to answer customer questions and make suggestions.
17. Monitor inventory conditions and note discrepancies.
18. Maintain proper temperature conditions and logs in cases and coolers.
19. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
20. Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
21. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
22. Report customer or employee accidents.
23. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts appropriately.
