Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to obtain a food handler's permit after employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Customer service experience
- Bakery or Deli experience is helpful
- Retail experience
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Provide fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
- Recommend items to customers based on their needs.
- Operate bakery equipment following company guidelines.
- Follow food safety procedures, including temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
- Check product quality and expiry dates, taking appropriate action.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, report discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
- Handle customer and employee accidents appropriately.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity, following directions, and seeking help when needed.
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
Salary Range: $17.50 - $22.61
