Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service skills

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery/deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to customers to promote new or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portions to minimize shrinkage.
5. Recommend products to meet customer needs.
6. Use bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature protocols.
8. Measure, prepare, and package ingredients as per recipes.
9. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise accurately.
10. Check product quality and review expiration dates.
11. Maintain store layout knowledge and assist customers in locating products.
12. Stay updated on current promotions and product knowledge.
13. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
14. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
15. Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
16. Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations, report hazards and incidents.
17. Inspect equipment regularly and report maintenance needs.
18. Handle customer and employee accidents appropriately.
19. Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and manage conflicts professionally.
20. Act with honesty and integrity, respecting confidentiality.
21. Follow directions and seek assistance as needed.
22. Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
23. This role offers a salary range of $19.21 to $22.61 per hour.
