Job Responsibilities:

• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates, and take necessary actions.
• Properly utilize kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
• Foster trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and report to management.
• Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
