Job Responsibilities:

• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment according to guidelines, including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes, using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality, freshness, and review "sell by" dates, taking necessary actions.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Be familiar with the store layout to locate products as requested.
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal ads.
• Maintain product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, documenting logs.
• Foster trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by engaging and answering questions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report them.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
