Job summary

Forest Hills Foods in Ada, Michigan is seeking a part-time Bakery/Deli associate to prepare, package, and merchandise products. You will stock backrooms, work with other departments, and ensure guest satisfaction while following safety and food safety guidelines.

The role requires at least a GED equivalent and 1 year of retail experience, with basic math skills and attention to detail. This is a part-time, on-site position offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products according to plan.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per flight plan/Merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products; rotate/dating cases/buckets.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores to drive growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Notify the Bakery/Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to associates.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
• Follow all food safety and cleaning expectations.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on needs.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
