Chief Supermarket in Defiance, OH, is seeking a part-time Bakery/Deli Associate to prepare and display bakery and deli products. You’ll package, label, rotate stock, and work with team members to ensure quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include following safety and food-safety guidelines, communicating recipes and weights, and supporting tasks in other departments as needed. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in tasks.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products to plan.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli items per program.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products, rotate and date items.
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Perform basic arithmetic and keep accurate records.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and cleaning steps to teammates.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain food safety and cleaning standards.
• Follow guest experience guidelines in service areas.
• Assist with tasks in other departments as needed.
• Support additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to work independently to prepare food, fry, package, display, and stock deli and or bakery products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and Produce Bakery/Deli Products to Production Planner

• Package and Label Bakery/Deli Products per program plan

• Merchandise Bakery/Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations

• Stock Backroom with Bakery/Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets

• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores

• Notify the Bakery/ Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.

• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division

• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates

• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines

• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations

• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines

• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred

• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
