Job summary

ShopRite of Hauppauge in Hauppauge, NY is hiring a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking, and merchandising in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, reading and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. You will follow safety and QA standards and work varied shifts, including overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Experience handling food products and maintaining sanitation.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking and merchandising.
• Maintain neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow safety, QA, and company policies in all tasks.
