Job summary

ShopRite of Byram in Stanhope, NJ is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations including pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise. Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department and deliver a great customer experience.

Candidates should read, write and speak English, perform basic math, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures. You will greet customers, ensure accurate signage, rotate products and assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with food products.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Follow QA and safety standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work area.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price, stock and rotate Bakery merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Ensure accurate signage and proper labeling in the department.
• Assist other departments as needed and maintain attendance.
• Unload trucks and handle items up to 50 lbs when required.
