Job summary

ShopRite of Tri City Plaza in Vernon, CT is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with pricing, stocking and merchandising, while delivering a great customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain a clean, organized department, rotate products for freshness and handle duties in accordance with safety and QA standards. Applicants must be at least 18 and able to lift up to 50 lbs, with excellent English communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly and effectively.
• Basic math skills for pricing and stocking.
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, lift 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Handle foods and work with cleaning agents safely.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards in the department.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Bakery area clean, organized, and safe.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Greet customers and assist with their needs.
• Maintain accurate signage and product rotation.
• Stock and price merchandise and assist in other departments as needed.
• Follow safety policies and overtime as required.
