Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in daily bakery operations, including dough preparation, ingredient mixing, and quality control. You will provide friendly customer service while preparing orders and maintaining clean, organized bake areas.

Responsibilities include following production schedules, rotating stock, and ensuring proper temperatures in coolers and freezers. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred to serve diverse customers in the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes and shape dough.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintain records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored properly.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise per labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.

Position Summary

The Bakery Clerk is responsible mixing and measuring ingredients into dough in preparation for baking, monitor shrink within the department, ensure all orders are completed in accordance with production schedule; machinery is in good operating order. Responsible for providing quality customer service, practicing safe food handling procedures, assist with inventory, stocking, product rotation and maintenance.

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
• Maintaining records of customer orders
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
