Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bakery Clerk for the South Gate Firestone location. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Clerk provides friendly service, helps customers with bakery purchases, and keeps displays clean and stocked.

You will work with the Baker to decide what to bake, take special orders, and assist in cleaning and stocking. Physical tasks include lifting up to 60 pounds; food handling requirements apply for food roles. Join a fast-paced team under Chedraui USA.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the Bakery department.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. The Bakery Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department. They will assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates the self serve displays that are both in the front of the store and adjacent to the store bakery. The Bakery Clerk will work with customers to take special orders. They will also work with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated. This position will also help in the department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure the department cleanliness. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
