Bakery Clerk Position

Job Overview

Are you ready to sprinkle some fun into your day? Whether you are a seasoned customer service professional, a parent looking to jam some fun between kiddo pickups, or a college student in need of coffee money, you are the perfect filling to our perfect donut!

Requirements

  1. Prior food or retail experience is preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right ATTITUDE!
  2. Excellent guest service skills AND verbal communication skills
  3. Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items throughout a shift
  4. Eligible to work in the United States
  5. Ability to pass a background check

At Dad’s Donuts, we expect every member to execute the following duties with a happy heart and a big, wide smile:

  1. Create a welcoming and positive guest experience at the pastry counter
  2. Provide each guest with an informative and thorough tour of our 109-layer laminated donuts!
  3. Prepare coffee and drinks according to house recipes
  4. Invite guests to join our rewards program, the Happy Camper Club
  5. Decorate and stock our scrumptious croissant-style donuts according to Dad’s standards
  6. Process transactions through the Square POS platform
  7. Clean not lean!
  8. Work with a sense of urgency, prioritize tasks, and anticipate guest needs
  9. Exemplify teamwork and possess a true sense of hospitality
  10. Work cleanly, efficiently and go the extra mile
  11. Be flexible and willing to adjust to shift schedules and operating hours

Dad’s Donut clerks are responsible for all day-to-day operations of the shop.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Operating the POS system efficiently and accurately
  2. Guiding guests through our selections and provide exemplary service
  3. Making coffee and drinks
  4. Maintaining all product inventories
  5. Cleaning all areas of the shop and assisting with dish washing, according to the needs of the shop
  6. Communicating effectively and positively with fellow team members

Education: Entry level position. 2 years related experience preferred but NOT required.

Language: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, vendors and co-workers.

Hours and Availability

Typical workweek: 15 – 30 hours

Multiple shift opportunities are available.

This position starts as part-time with the potential to become full-time based on business needs.

Hours vary depending on business demand.

Benefits and Pay

Employees are considered “full time status” if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full-time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.

This position starts at $15/hr + a very generous tip-pooling program.
