Job summary

Cardenas Markets in California is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver friendly, high-quality customer service in our store. You will model our values while assisting in display, stocking, and bakery preparation.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, organizing displays, baking breads and desserts, ensuring product rotation and pricing accuracy, and using bakery equipment. Must have a valid Food Handler Card and prior customer service or retail experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, service-oriented way.
• Organize products in displays and keep cases stocked.
• Assist with baking breads, cookies, and desserts including pan dulce.
• Maintain standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
• Stock, price, and rotate bakery items and discard spoiled goods.
• Operate bakery equipment (mixers, blenders, heat sources).
• Take food orders in person and by phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
