Job description

JOB FUNCTION:

As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bakery department. Your expertise in assisting customers, preparing and packaging bakery products, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential to our commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods. Prospective employees should be outgoing, friendly, hard-working, dependable, and a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide outstanding customer service
2. Clean equipment and sanitize daily
3. Prepare bakery products
4. Pack and label items for sale
5. Decorate bakery items for sale and as requested by the customer
6. Operate oven
7. Stock bakery items on shelves
8. Record and report accurate inventory counts
9. Assist all customers in their shopping
10. Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be at least 18 years old or older
2. Must be able to work Saturdays
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Ability to work with others
5. Good interpersonal skills
6. Good verbal communication skills
7. Excellent attention to detail
8. Basic math skills are required
9. Previous experience is helpful but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. On feet up to 8+ hours per day
2. Lifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting
3. Frequently lift up to 40 pounds

TYPICAL EQUIPMENT USED:

1. Oven, proofer, bread slicer, knives, cooking equipment, scales
2. Cardboard/Plastic baler, dishwasher

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
