Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Bakery Clerk at Store 082 Cypress to support the bakery department with customer service and display maintenance. The role involves assisting customers, stocking and rotating displays, and coordinating with the Baker on special orders.

Candidates should be able to read/write in Spanish and English, follow simple instructions, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds as needed in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill and rotate self‑serve displays in the front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker on items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help in department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling in a fast‑paced grocery store environment.

Required Certifications

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
