Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join Store 012 Houston-Lyons. The role focuses on friendly customer service in the Bakery, handling orders, and keeping displays clean and stocked. You will work under supervision of the Bakery Manager and support daily bakery operations.

Ideal candidates read/write both Spanish and English, can lift up to 60 pounds, and have basic PC/Outlook skills. This is a fast-paced grocery setting with community focus.

Responsibilities

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. The Bakery Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service to the Bakery department. They will assist customers with bakery purchases, clean shelving and display cases, and keep the self‑serve displays in front of the store and adjacent to the bakery clean, full, and rotated.

The Bakery Clerk will work with customers to take special orders, and will also work with the Baker to determine which items may need to be baked or decorated. This position will also help in the department cleaning by hosing down the floors with soap and water to ensure the department cleanliness.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
