Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining fresh, attractive product displays in our Fresh departments. You will help customers locate items, share product knowledge, and keep shelves stocked and organized in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes customer-first service, teamwork, and accurate use of technology to complete daily tasks, with a focus on food safety and quality across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort with learning and using store technology.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job’s location.

$15.00 - $16.50
