Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk in Oswego, IL to deliver a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers and teammates, share product knowledge, and maintain visually appealing displays while working across departments.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and safety, with early morning hours and a measured pace that supports team success and store operations.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

• 6:00am-4:00pm availability is required.

We are committed to offering competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization.

This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between the rates below with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.

$15.25 - $16.98
