Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support exceptional guest hospitality by providing friendly service, maintaining product presentation and department standards, and completing daily tasks that contribute to efficient store operations and sales growth
- Deliver friendly, helpful, and respectful service to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat business
- Package, label, stock, and display bakery products while maintaining quality, freshness, and food safety standards
- Prepare and bake items such as donuts, pastries, and cookies according to production schedules and standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in alignment with sanitation and food safety guidelines
- Assist guests with product selection, recommendations, allergen information, and special orders
- Stock, rotate, and merchandise products using FIFO methods to minimize waste and maintain presentation
- Operate POS systems, scales, and related equipment accurately to support efficient transactions
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs, shortages, or quality concerns
- Collaborate with teammates across departments to support store operations and a positive team environment
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and expectations, including participation in trainings and ongoing development
- Remain productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, or supporting other areas of the store
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (certification a plus)
- Experience with food preparation, baking, or kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, slicers)
