Job summary

Northeast Grocery in Burlington, VT is seeking a bakery/customer service associate to provide fast, friendly service and maintain quality products. You will work under the Bakery Manager to ensure cleanliness, orderliness and accurate product availability.

Responsibilities include operating bakery equipment, handling special orders, and maintaining sanitation standards while delivering excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 6-12 months related experience.
• Basic literacy skills and basic computer skills.
• Satisfactory performance reviews and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling requests.
• Keep a neat, clean, organized workstation per 5S standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality and sanitary conditions.
• Maintain Deco Pac inventories with Bakery Manager and annual levels.
• Maintain standard offerings (Butter creme and seasonal colors) daily.
• Operate bakery equipment (ovens, mixers, utensils).
• May lead bakery staff in the manager's absence.
• Provide high level of customer courtesy and service.
• Fulfill special orders (cakes).
• Adhere to company policies and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
