Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or shift-lead experience in a café, bakery, restaurant, or similar foodservice environment.
• Strong communication, organization, coaching, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced guest-service setting.
• Working knowledge of food production, guest service, sanitation, inventory, scheduling, and basic cost controls.
• Comfortable working hands-on across bakery, café, front-of-house, service, and storage areas.
• Food safety certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily café operations, including opening, shift changes, closing, service flow, team assignments, and readiness for each part of the day.
• Model warm hospitality by greeting guests and supporting attentive service while resolving questions or concerns.
• Support production, stocking, product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards throughout the shift.
• Assist with scheduling, coverage, onboarding, coaching, training, and clear daily communication with employees.
• Monitor inventory, waste, labor needs, cash-handling procedures, and other cost-control priorities.
• Communicate staffing, maintenance, purchasing, service, and operational concerns to the Bakery Manager promptly.
